Image Resizer

Set a new width and height, keep the proportions when you want to, and download a PNG.

Image Resizer workspace

How to use it

Choose an image. Width and height fill in from the file. With Keep proportions on, editing one side updates the other. Turn it off to stretch. Create file shows a preview and enables Download.

Example

The preview uses the new pixel size, limited to 480 pixels wide on screen so a large image does not overflow the page. The download uses the full size you entered.

Input

1200×800 scaled to 600 pixels wide

Result

A 600×400 PNG, because proportions were locked.

How it works

The bitmap is drawn into a canvas of the exact pixel size you set, then encoded as PNG. Sides must be whole numbers from 1 to 8000. The browser resamples the pixels. There is no separate “percent” mode.

Common errors

  • The height jumped when you typed a width Proportions are locked. Uncheck Keep proportions to set both sides yourself.
  • A side was rejected Use a whole number from 1 to 8000. Decimal pixels are not used.
  • The download is PNG even though the source was JPEG The resizer always writes PNG so the resize itself is not mixed with a second lossy encode.

Limitations

Enlarging a small image cannot invent detail. Animated GIFs become one frame. Files over 15 MB are refused. The image is not uploaded.

Privacy

The file stays in your browser. PepsTools does not upload it, store it, or send it to another service. Clear the tool or leave the page to drop it from memory.

Questions

Does the preview match the download?

The preview may be shown smaller on screen. The file uses the width and height in the fields.
