Image Cropper

Crop a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF to a rectangle you choose and download the result.

Image Cropper workspace

Drag on the image to set the crop rectangle. Rotate turns the source 90° clockwise before cropping.

How to use

Choose an image. Drag or set the crop box, then Create file and Download. Output is PNG by default so the crop is not mixed with a second lossy encode unless you pick JPEG or WebP.

Example

The preview shows the selection. The download uses full source pixels inside the crop box, not the on-screen preview scale.

Input

A photo cropped to 800×600 from the center

Output

crop.png containing only the selected rectangle

How it works

The image is drawn to a canvas. The selected pixel rectangle is copied into a new canvas and encoded in the browser. Coordinates are clamped to the bitmap bounds.

Common errors

  • The crop was empty Make the selection at least 1×1 pixels inside the image.
  • Edges looked soft Enlarging a small crop cannot invent detail. Start from a sharper source.
  • Animation disappeared Animated GIFs are flattened to the frame the browser decodes.

Limitations

Files over 15 MB or 8000 pixels on a side are refused. There is no non-destructive layered editor or EXIF rewrite workflow.

Privacy

The file stays in your browser. PepsTools does not upload it, store it, or send it to another service. Clear the tool or leave the page to drop it from memory.

Questions

Is the image uploaded?

No. Cropping and encoding stay in the browser.
