How to use
Enter a base HEX color, choose a mode and count, Generate, then Copy any swatch value. Random mode ignores strict harmony and picks fresh colors.
Example
Modes share the base hue rules: mono varies lightness, analogous shifts nearby hues, complementary includes the opposite hue.
Input
Base #2563eb, analogous, 5 colors
Output
Five swatches with HEX, RGB, and HSL for each
How it works
Colors are computed from HSL relative to the base. Each swatch includes hex, rgb(), and hsl() strings for copy-paste into CSS.
Common errors
- An invalid HEX was refused Use #rgb or #rrggbb.
- Count 20 was refused Stay within the offered count range.
- You expected CIELAB harmony This generator uses HSL geometry, not perceptual Lab spaces.
Limitations
Palettes are suggestions, not brand-system tokens. Accessibility contrast is not checked here; use Color Contrast Checker for that.
Privacy
The text you paste is processed in your browser. PepsTools does not receive it, store it, or send it to another service.
Questions
Does random use the base color?
Random builds new hues. Other modes derive from the base HEX you enter.
