Split PDF

Extract page ranges from one PDF and download each range as its own file.

Split PDF workspace

How to use it

Open one PDF, type ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-9, then Build PDF. One range downloads as a PDF. Several ranges download as a ZIP of PDFs. Pages are numbered from 1.

Example

On a four-page PDF, 1-2, 4 keeps the first two pages together and the fourth page alone. Page 3 is left out.

Input

1-2, 4

Result

pages-1-2.pdf and pages-4-4.pdf

How it works

Each range is checked against the page count before any file is built. A range that starts after it ends, a page past the last page, a repeated page, or an empty entry is rejected. The original file is not modified.

Common errors

  • The range 4-2 was rejected Write the lower page first, or list the pages separately.
  • Page 9 is outside 1-6 The PDF has only the pages the status line counted. Remove 9.
  • Page 2 is listed more than once Overlapping ranges are refused so a page is not exported twice by accident.

Limitations

The tool does not split by file size or by bookmarks. It does not open encrypted PDFs. A document with no pages, or more than 200 pages, is refused.

Privacy

The file stays in your browser. PepsTools does not upload it, store it, or send it to another service. Clear the tool or leave the page to drop it from memory.

Questions

Can I download every page as its own PDF?

Yes. Write 1, 2, 3 and so on for each page you want. The download is a ZIP when there is more than one range.
