How to use it
Choose a PDF, pick 90, 180, or 270 degrees, and optionally list pages such as 1, 3-4. Build PDF writes a new file. The source file on disk is unchanged.
Example
Leave the page box empty to rotate every page. The rotation is added to any rotation the page already has.
Input
90 degrees, pages 1, 3
Result
A PDF whose first and third pages are a quarter turn clockwise from where they started.
How it works
PDF-lib reads the current page rotation and adds the angle you chose, modulo 360. Only the three clockwise steps above are offered, because those are the rotations the library stores. An empty page list means every page.
Common errors
- The page still looks sideways in another viewer Some viewers ignore the rotation flag. Open the download in a viewer that honors the page Rotate entry.
- A page number was past the end The status line shows how many pages were read. Use only those numbers.
- The file is encrypted Remove the password before using this page.
Limitations
The tool does not redraw page content to pixels, so text stays text. It does not rotate by arbitrary angles such as 15 degrees. Files over 15 MB or 200 pages are refused.
Privacy
The file stays in your browser. PepsTools does not upload it, store it, or send it to another service. Clear the tool or leave the page to drop it from memory.
Questions
Does 90 degrees mean clockwise?
Yes. 270 degrees is the same turn as 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
