How to use it
Enter a date of birth. Leave the second date empty to use today, or pick the date you want the age on. Calculate shows years, months, days, and the total number of days. A date that does not exist, or an as-of date before the birthday, is an error.
Example
Someone born on 29 February 2000 is 24 years old on 29 February 2024. On 28 February 2025 the age is still 24 years, 11 months, and 30 days. The 25th birthday is 1 March 2025.

The interval is a calendar difference. A February 29 birthday is not treated as February 28 in a non-leap year. In the Gregorian calendar used here, that birthday is reached on March 1 when the year has no February 29. Years, months, and days match that rule, and the total is the number of midnights between the two dates.
Common errors
- 29 February was rejected That year is not a leap year. 1900 is not a leap year. 2000 is.
- The as-of date is earlier than the birthday Swap the dates. Age is not calculated backwards.
- You expected the birthday on February 28 This calculator moves a February 29 anniversary to March 1 in a non-leap year, and the example states that.
Limitations
The result is a calendar age, not a legal age for a contract, and it does not apply time zones. Dates must fall in years the date fields can represent. The calculation stays in the browser.
