How to use
Paste CSV or choose a file, pick the delimiter and whether the first row is headers, Convert, then Copy or Download. Quoted fields keep commas and newlines inside a cell.
Example
With headers on, the first row becomes object keys. With headers off, each row is a JSON array.
Input
name,role
Ada,editor
"Lovelace, Ada",analyst
Output
[
{
"name": "Ada",
"role": "editor"
},
{
"name": "Lovelace, Ada",
"role": "analyst"
}
]
How it works
A quote-aware parser builds rows. Header mode maps columns to object properties. Output is pretty-printed JSON. Tab-separated values are supported as well as comma and semicolon.
Common errors
- A quote was left open Close the quoted field or double inner quotes.
- Keys looked wrong Turn Headers on only when the first row names the columns.
- Semicolon files looked like one column Switch the delimiter to semicolon.
Limitations
Input over 500,000 characters is refused. Nested CSV is not inferred. This is not a spreadsheet formula engine.
Privacy
The text you paste is processed in your browser. PepsTools does not receive it, store it, or send it to another service.
Questions
Are formulas executed?
No. Cell values stay strings in the JSON output.
